I am making this sample pack free to spread nasty crunchy percussion to fellow electronic music producers. Use the samples as you please. Just don't sell the samples themselves.

This sample pack is a set of 95 single hits from my circuit bent Kawai R-100 drum machine. The 12 bit DAC has been circuit bent to add nice crunchy distortion at the point of sample playback within the device. Each sample is carefully edited and ready to load into a sampler or DAW. The samples are not processed aside from the DAC bend.

The naming convention is not perfect, but goes like this:

The drum machine has 4 ROM chips: R-100, R-50, R-50E and a custom ROM. The first letter (ABCD) of the file name is the ROM. The second letter of the filename refers to the three instrument select rows (ABC) and the number refers to the eight instruments per row. Sorry but I didn't name the samples "kick" or "shaker" or "agogo" etc. BB8 is missing.
